Tracklist and naming standard
As mentioned earlier we are now forced by law to keep tracklistings of all sets broadcasted .. to make this easier on both us and the DJs we are adding some rules.
How to name your mp3:
Liveshow/Event : Profilename - Eventname (Eventdate).mp3
Recorded set: Profilename - Setname.mp3
Example:
Let's say we have a set performed by DJ XY on 2008-03-12 during a weekly liveshow called Chromosome. In this case the name would have the following name format:
DJ XY - Chromosome (2008-03-12).mp3
Playlist format:
The tracklist has to have the exact same name as the set. So, to use the previous example; the tracklist would have to be called: DJ XY - Chromosome (2008-03-12).txt. You can create a tracklist with Notepad or any other text-editor as long as you save in the .txt -format. The tracks in the list have to be formatted the following way :
Nr.) Artist - Trackname (Remix or Featuring) [00:00:00] {Extra Info}
The Remix or Featuring, Timecode and Extra Info fields are not mandatory, so
Nr.) Artist - Trackname
is valid too, as long as you use one uniform format in the list.
Example Playlist:
01. Espen & Elusive - Poetic Penetration (Furry Nipples Remix) [8:07]
02. Zgr - Zero Hours (Perry O'Neil Mix) [8:43]
03. JPL - Ilmola (Antidote's Darkroom Remix) [7:56]
04. Andy Moor - Halcyon [9:13]
05. Mind Eye Feat Emphased Reality - Shimmer (Ava Mea Remix) [8:51]
06. Sector 7 - Inside Of Me (Andrew Bennett Remix) [8:39]
07. Lolo - Why (Nick Pilon Mix) [8:22]
08. Madoka - Afterburner (Max Graham Remix) [9:23]
09. Sandra Flyn - Rocking (Original Mix) [7:18]
10. Ilya Malyuev - Jump the Change [8:42]
And last but definatly not least:
Encode your MP3 as 44.1khz 128kbit/s Stereo ... there's no point in encoding at a different bitrate, since the stream is 128kbit .. as a matter of fact, you probably sound worse using higher bitrates since the server will have to recode on the fly.
